BeatIQ

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 September 2026
BeatIQ is an analytics tool for music producers who sell beats on BeatStars. It reads your own BeatStars campaign and sales records, using your own BeatStars session, so it can show you what your promotion actually earned. This policy covers both the BeatIQ website (beatiq.net) and the BeatIQ Chrome extension.

Who is responsible for your data

BeatIQ is operated by Sergey Rybchinskiy, an individual developer based in Georgia. For any privacy question, data request or deletion request, write to support@beatiq.net. We aim to reply within 30 days.

What we collect

Your account

  • Your email address and password, handled by our authentication provider (Supabase). We never see your password in readable form.
  • Your subscription plan, and if you pay us, the identifiers PayPal returns for your subscription and payer record. We never receive or store your card details.

Your BeatStars connection

When you connect your BeatStars account, the extension reads the session token that BeatStars itself has already stored in your browser for your signed-in account, along with your BeatStars member id, username and the email on that BeatStars account.

We store that session token on our servers. We do this so BeatIQ can keep your analytics up to date on a schedule, including when your browser is closed. It is your own credential for your own account, it is used only to read your own BeatStars data through BeatStars own API, and it is never used against anyone else account. You can revoke it at any time by disconnecting in the extension or deleting your BeatIQ account.

Your BeatStars business data

  • Promotion campaigns: budget, spend, bid, targeting, keywords, start and end dates, status.
  • Performance: impressions, plays, likes, reposts, followers gained, free downloads.
  • Sales: amount, date, licence type, which beats were in the order, and the link to the sale on BeatStars.

Limited information about people who buy from you

Your sale records name the buyer. BeatIQ keeps only what an earnings report needs: the buyer's public display name, their country, an internal BeatStars account number used to recognise a repeat customer, and the link to that sale on BeatStars.

We do not store your buyers' contact details. BeatStars sale records can include a buyer's email address, phone number and postal address. BeatIQ removes those before a sale is saved. If you need the full record for a sale, BeatIQ links you straight to it on BeatStars, where you already have access.

How the product is used

We record basic product events tied to your account: installation, sign in, when a data sync starts, finishes or fails, and which features you open. We use these to keep syncing working and to understand which parts of the product matter. They contain no page addresses and no browsing activity.

What we do not collect

  • No browsing history. The extension runs only on your BeatStars dashboard and on beatiq.net. It does not see, record or transmit the other pages you visit.
  • No screenshots and no reading of page content beyond the BeatStars session described above.
  • No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and no third-party analytics, session recording or error-tracking services of any kind.
  • No IP address logging by us. Our hosting and infrastructure providers keep their own connection logs, as all hosting providers do.
  • No health data, no location data, no personal messages.

How we use it, and nothing else

Everything above is used for one purpose: showing you analytics about your own BeatStars catalogue and promotion, and keeping that service running and secure. We do not sell your data. We do not share it for advertising. We do not use it to assess creditworthiness or for lending. We do not use it to build profiles for anyone other than you.

Our use of information received through the BeatIQ Chrome extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Connecting your YouTube channel

BeatIQ can publish videos to your own YouTube channel. This is optional and off until you connect a channel yourself. Nothing about your YouTube account reaches us before you do.

What the videos are. BeatIQ renders an audio visualiser for a track in your own catalogue: your audio, your cover art, your branding. You choose the template and adjust the look, so two producers publishing the same day get different videos. We do not generate synthetic music, synthetic imagery or automated filler.

What we ask for. Three permissions, and only these:

  • Upload videos (youtube.upload) — to publish the video you asked us to publish, to the channel you picked.
  • Read your channel list (youtube.readonly) — so we can show you which of your channels to publish to. An account can own several.
  • Manage the videos BeatIQ published (youtube) — to change the title, description, tags, thumbnail, visibility and scheduled date of a video after it is on the channel. Producers rename a beat, fix a typo, move a release date or take a video from unlisted to public, and doing that in BeatIQ is the point of publishing from BeatIQ. We use this permission only on videos uploaded through BeatIQ. We do not touch the rest of your channel, and we never delete videos.

What we store. The channel id, the channel name, its avatar and its subscriber count; the ids of the videos we published for you and the public view, like and comment counts of those same videos; and the token Google gives us to keep the connection alive. Nothing else. The video ids are what lets us edit exactly those videos and nothing beyond them. The channel details are refreshed from YouTube at most once an hour, the video counts when you open the page that shows them and on a schedule in between; nothing is held for more than 30 days without being refreshed or deleted. What happens when you disconnect a channel is described below.

Where we stop. We read how many subscribers a channel has, because you may have more than one channel and the size of the audience is how you choose where to publish. We do not read anything about those subscribers or about your viewers — who they are, where they are, or what else they watch. We do not read the text of your comments, only how many there are. We do not read your revenue or anything from YouTube Analytics, we do not read view or like counts for videos that were not published through BeatIQ, and we never combine YouTube figures with your BeatStars data.

Disconnecting. There is a disconnect button next to every connected channel. Pressing it revokes BeatIQ's access with Google at once and immediately deletes the token, the channel's avatar and subscriber count, and the view, like and comment counts. The channel's name and ID and the links to the videos BeatIQ uploaded are kept for 6 more days, so a channel disconnected by mistake can be reconnected with its upload history; after that they are deleted too. To delete them right away, press Delete all data on the My Channels page.

Deleting data in BeatIQ does not affect anything on YouTube: your videos stay on your channel, and to delete one you use YouTube Studio. Your rendered videos also stay in BeatIQ, so you can still download them or publish them to another channel.

You can also revoke BeatIQ at Google's security settings page, which works whether or not you still have a BeatIQ account. BeatIQ checks its access every day, notices a revoked grant within a day, and then treats it the same way as a disconnect.

BeatIQ uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a channel you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Information BeatIQ receives from YouTube API Services is used only to publish and manage the videos you asked for, is never sold, never used for advertising, and is deleted within 7 days of your disconnecting the channel, or right away when you press Delete all data.

Who else touches your data

We use a small number of service providers to run BeatIQ. They process data on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

  • Supabase — our database, authentication and file storage.
  • Vercel — hosts the website and its API.
  • Cloudflare — routes our requests to BeatStars and stores audio files for our beat pool feature.
  • Fly.io — runs the background workers that refresh your campaign data.
  • Brevo — sends our transactional email.
  • PayPal — processes subscription payments.
  • Telegram — delivers optional alerts, only if you connect it.
  • Google / YouTube — receives the videos you publish, only after you connect a channel.
  • Anthropic — powers one optional feature that suggests track titles. Only beat titles are sent. No personal data, no sales data and no buyer data are sent to any AI service.
  • Metabase and n8n — internal reporting and automation tools that run against our database.

We also talk to BeatStars itself, using your session, to read your own data. BeatStars is an independent company with its own privacy policy, and BeatIQ is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by BeatStars.

We may disclose data if the law requires it, or to investigate abuse, fraud or a security incident. If BeatIQ is ever sold or merged, we will ask for your consent before transferring your data.

Security

All traffic between your browser, our servers and BeatStars runs over HTTPS. Data is held in our database, which our hosting provider encrypts at rest. Access to production data is limited to the operator named at the top of this policy. Your BeatStars session token is stored so scheduled syncing can work, is never written to our logs, and is never shown to anyone else.

No system is perfect. If you believe your account or your BeatStars connection has been compromised, disconnect in the extension and write to support@beatiq.net so we can revoke it.

How long we keep it, and how to delete it

We keep your data while your account is active, because the value of the product is the history: last year's campaigns are what this year's decisions are compared against.

When you delete your account:

  • Erased immediately: your BeatStars session token, the link to your BeatStars account, your profile, and your product usage events. The token stops working for us the moment it is removed.
  • Archived for 30 days, then permanently deleted: your campaigns, sales and conversion history. The 30 days exist so an accidental deletion can be undone. During that window the data is not used for anything.
  • Kept longer: records of payments you made to us, where tax and accounting law requires it.

You can also disconnect BeatStars without deleting your account, which removes the stored token and stops all syncing. To request deletion or a copy of your data, write to support@beatiq.net.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Write to support@beatiq.net and we will action it. We will not charge you or treat you differently for exercising these rights.

If you are one of our users' buyers

If you bought a beat from a producer who uses BeatIQ, we hold your public display name, your country and your BeatStars account number, so that producer can see their own sales. We do not hold your email address, phone number or postal address, and we never contact you. To ask what we hold or to have it removed, write to support@beatiq.net.

Children

BeatIQ is a business tool and is not directed at children. Do not use it if you are under 16. If we learn that we hold data about a child, we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change what we collect or what we do with it, we will update this page, change the date at the top, and tell you in the product before the change takes effect.
